Flowers

I made two like this, but the other had reversed colors. After learning from my Sea themed cover, I reverted back to felt and hand stitching with embroidery floss on the flowers. (Made from pattern - Butterick 4416)

Sea

This is another car seat cover. The sea themed animals on it were made out of fleece instead of felt. I sewed them on with the machine instead of by hand like the others. I think I prefer the final outcome the other way. (Made from pattern - Butterick 4416)

Blocks

I made this for my first baby to keep him warm in the winter. I know they make ones you can buy now and eve ones that come with the car seat, but I like to sew and this is much more personal. It matches the whole baby thing I have in my kids' room. It is warm non-pilling fleece. The blocks are felt and were hand stitched on. This was my second car seat cover. Animals

My sister's first baby was due 2 months before my first. I wanted to make her something. I was making myself one of these covers, so I decided to make her one too. The animals were copied from the animals on her bedding set. I scanned in her bedding, enlarged the animals, and then printed the patterns of them out. Next I found felt that matched pretty close to the original colors and then cut each piece, hand stitching it on with embroidery floss. The dots on the turtle and giraffe's backs were embroidered, as well as the stripes on the zebra. Same with the elephant, giraffe, and zebra's tails and giraffe's hair. VERY time consuming, but I loved it when I was done (and so did she!) and I was very proud of myself. This is from a pattern - Butterick 4416.
